The people behind Noventra

Noventra was founded by three entrepreneurs who met in logistics: each with their own expertise, their own background and the same impatience when something can be done smarter. Below, they tell you in their own words what drives them and what they bring.

I have worked at J. Heebink Logistic Services for almost 28 years. Before that, I spent more than four years at another transport company, which means I now have over 32 years of experience in the transport and logistics sector. For the past 13 years I have led our family business. With the founding of Noventra, we are taking the next step in our services. Through it, we want to relieve our customers even further by offering not only transport and storage but also full orchestration of their logistics processes. That is what I work towards every day.

CTO

Technology has always interested me, especially the question of how software can make your work simpler. I have been building software for 16 years, the last 8 of them smart applications with AI. I saw how much time in logistics still goes into manual work: retyping data, chasing emails and updating schedules. With AI, I can change that at Noventra. As CTO, I am building the technical foundation of our platform and AI agents that take on tasks independently. Together with Mathijs, I translate day-to-day practice into software that works.

Straight after my studies I rolled into logistics, where I soon discovered that my interest went further than simply running processes. I get my energy from making processes smarter and more efficient, and from the role technology plays in that. With software development and AI, that became the foundation for Noventra. Now I combine my experience in logistics and process optimisation with Sebastiaan’s technological knowledge. It is precisely that combination that turns real-world challenges into smart solutions that take work off customers’ hands.

Our view

Three perspectives, one view of logistics

Behind Noventra are three entrepreneurs, each with their own background and expertise, but with one shared conviction: logistics can be smarter, more efficient and more customer-focused by bringing knowledge, processes and technology together in the right way.

Drawing on experience in logistics and process optimisation, we continually look at how processes can be organised more smartly and where there are opportunities to help organisations move forward. The day-to-day practice of a transport company brings in-depth knowledge of the logistics sector, with the customer always at the centre. Technological expertise in software development and AI then makes it possible to translate these insights into practical, smart solutions.

Those three perspectives come together in the way we look at logistics with Noventra. By developing our own Transport Management System (TMS), OrangeChain, we are building technology that supports, optimises and further automates logistics processes. At the same time, we look beyond software alone. From a 4PL and 5PL perspective, we focus on connecting, coordinating and optimising the entire logistics chain, with data, technology and collaboration as the foundation for continuous improvement.

It is precisely the combination of hands-on experience, process optimisation and technological innovation that makes us strong. We understand the challenges of logistics, know how important a good customer relationship is and develop solutions that fit day-to-day practice. In this way we help organisations not only to make their logistics more efficient, but also to gain more control over their chain and be ready for the future.
